Restaurant
Our restaurant is well known in the area for excellent food, concentrating on modern English cuisine using locally sourced produce where possible. The cosy ambience of our restaurant and bar makes the perfect start to your evening and with great food and fine wine, it just gets better!
Our private dining room can seat 8/12 guests for a special occasion or just a get together with friends.
Sample Signature Dishes
Starters
A bell tower of local black pudding & flat mushrooms with a soft poached egg and mustard sauce.
Fishers Fishcakes - smoked haddock and salmon fishcakes complemented by a light horseradish cream sauce.
Mains
Fillet of Burdass lamb served on minted mushy peas with roasted shallots accompanied by a rosemary and mint reduction.
Belly of prime rare breed saddle back pork with mustard seed mash, crisp green cabbage and a light pork jus.
Fillet of sea bass on a bed of vine tomatoes, red onion & basil leaves with a pesto dressing.
Wine
We have an extensive wine list which currently features some 70 Bins and incorporates several large formats including magnums of Cloudy Bay - Sauvignon Blanc.
Having installed a Verre du Vin, which is a unique wine preservation system that allows us to sell many wines and Champagnes by the glass ensuring the last glass sold is as fresh as the first. In addition to the wines on the attached list we able to use this system for Dessert wines and Ports.
